How to use the microphone when recording video on the iPad.
There is a video guide at the bottom of this page and a PDF of these instructions you can download/print too.

The microphones can be found in the cupboard in Alice’s classroom along with a tripod that can fit an iPad. (This all works just the same on an iPhone too.)
-
The receiver slots into the charging port of the iPad and will automatically be on when connected.
-
There is a small “on/off” button on the rear of the microphone beneath the clip. There is a blue light to show when they are on. The microphones are numbered but they are exactly the same.
-
You can test the microphones by opening the voice memo app and tapping the microphone and seeing the sound spikes on the voice memo screen.
-
The microphone will work even if the iPad is on the other side of the classroom.
-
They are sensitive so there is no need for shouting.
-
Children should not tilt their heads down or try to move closer to the microphone!

Remember to turn the microphones off and recharge them before packing up and returning.
